| I
think some of us are born with the need to help
others, for me this has always been the case.
Growing up in a large extended family that included
five siblings and my grandmother I learned from an
early age that care and compassion was more
important than anything else in life. |
| |
|
| I
was ill with Rheumatic Fever as a child in the
fifties and had hands on care from my mother and
family that not only provided for my medical needs
but also for my emotional ones. |
|
 |
I
learned that healing was more than the pills the
doctor gave me to take. |
|
| I
learned that without the support of my family I
would not be who I am today. So you see my illness
that even though was long and painful. (4) Years. It
was also a time of learning for me that shaped and
molded me into the person I am today. |
|
| As
I grew older I knew that my place was in a helping
profession. I have been blessed to find my life's
work. Which has brought many special people into the
family of care that my Mother helped shape for me
many years ago. |
|
| I
want to thank you the seniors and families who have
shared their stories and enriched our lives by
knowing you. Also the many healthcare professionals
who give so much and touch so many lives everyday. |
|
| This
site is loving dictated to my parents who with their
care, wisdom and love allowed me to find my special
purpose in life. |
